About National Junior Classcal League
The National Junior Classical League is an organization of junior high and high school students sponsored by the American Classical League. It is composed of local and state chapters made up of students of Latin, Greek and classical humanities and is the largest classical organization in the world today. Its purpose is to encourage an interest in and an appreciation of the language, literature, and culture of ancient Greece and Rome and to give students some understanding of the debt of their own culture to that of classical antiquity.
About Membership
Affiliation with BOTH the state and national organizations is required, and the Latin teacher must be a
member of the American Classical League. A chapter must have a sponsor or
sponsors who belongs to the American Classical League. The membership fee per
sponsor may be included with the NJCL chapter fees or it may be
mailed directly to:

In order to join AZJCL, a chapter must affiliate with the National Junior Classical League. The chapter dues for AZJCL are
$10. Individual member dues are in addition to the chapter dues and are $3
per student member. After December 1st,
the charge for is $5.
